The Making of Koble Collaborative, Inc.

Koble means “to connect” in Norwegian. And connection is at the heart of everything we do.

Our communities face ever-growing challenges that can, at times, feel insurmountable. But we feel we can transform the world around us in positive ways, together. Carolyn Berg founded Koble Collaborative, Inc. driven by her passion to uplift and empower people to come together. To find common ground, build deep relationships and partnerships, and ultimately, to solve community challenges.

OUR VIEW

OUR C.E.O.

Meet our founder and C.E.O., Carolyn Berg

Our CEO, Carolyn Berg, P.E., brings 17 years of experience uniting diverse partners to address critical regional water resources and community development needs.

Her prior roles working for the County of San Luis Obispo affords her a unique perspective on sustainable development and growth plans. Carolyn successfully led the development of policies, plans and multi-agency partnerships related to sustainable water resources management and community planning initiatives from 2006-2021. Her dynamic leadership has helped to solve problems related to regional homeless support services, COVID-19 economic recovery, COVID-19 contact tracing, and more. While leading complex collaborative initiatives, she builds trusting relationships with staff and executives of the County, local cities, water purveyors, representatives of advisory bodies, and local leaders in civil engineering, development, and home building industries.

In 2015, the Danish national government invited her and nine other U.S. professionals to learn about and consult on water resources innovation, exchange thoughts on water issues and solutions, and identify partnership opportunities, highlighting Carolyn’s role in the industry as a thought leader who builds far-reaching and impactful relationships.
